A classic Tasmanian cool climate Pinot Noir, Abel Tasman has elegant red fruit flavours balanced with savoury characters, refreshing acidity & the delicate use of French oak.
Hand-picked March 2013, using a mixture of de-stemmed and whole-bunch fruit. 50% wild fermentation, and barrel aged on lees for 10 months, using French Oak Barriques, 20% new oak.
Careful cellaring in bottle for over 3.5 years has softened and rounded the tannins in this wine, and allowed the savoury characteristics, and some black fruit characters, to shine. A rewarding Tasmanian Pinot.
