A beautiful Tasmanian cool climate Chardonnay, Bangor's 2013 Chardonnay displays a wonderful balance between classic stone fruit flavours, lovely natural acidity & vanilla characteristics from the delicate use of French oak.
Hand-picked in March 2013. Whole-bunch pressed using first-press juice. Barrel fermented in French oak using wild yeast. Aged on lees for 11 months in French oak barrel, using 20% new oak.
Careful cellaring in bottle for 3.5 years has gently aged, matured and rounded this already stunning Chardonnay. Chardonnay lovers will be in heaven!
This is a very special Chardonnay. It was awarded both a Gold Medal and the James Halliday Trophy at the 2015 Tasmanian Wine Show.
